All cultures differ in terms of what is acceptable commercial behaviour. It’s become clear to me that the US has a stronger lassie-fare attitude when it comes to consumer goods and product claims.

They also secure million dollar 10 year contracts to exclusive sell their stuff in schools. It’s worse than you thought (I’ve just read “Food Politics” by Marion Nestle – evenhanded appraisal of the food industry in the states, bit dry but fascinating nevertheless)
Would the “vitamins and minerals” in fact be the artifical additives and chemicals in the drink?!
