On my flight from Dubai to New York I was amazed at the usability of the Audio Visual system on the Airbus A380. It was was an incredibly good user experience. Even the biggest technophobe would find it a pleasure to use. Some of the stuff I found particularly cool included:
- The wide screen
- Option of touch screen or remote control
- External cameras with Pilot view, ground view and tail view all live!
- External USB drive for your work including reading PDF’s
- Ability to link your laptop to the screen
- Email, pretty much anything web can be done on it
- Incredible depth of programmes on offer including live news
- Live news feeds from the BBC
But most impressive was the user interface. If you want to know what the future of the web interface looks like, pay some close attention next time your fly internationally.

Seems like a fairly good set up that they have there. could be quite useful on those long flights. Get a lot done, without having to have your laptop, especially if you have full web access. How is it with keyboard? or is it on screen?
