Carrying that thought a little further, you realize there wasn’t any electricity then, there were no automobiles, an aircraft was still 60 something years in the future, going to the moon was a fairy tail, and the Internet was an encirclement of a fleet of English fishing schooners by Spanish pirates!
So, here in Internet 2007; I guess we have a ways to go?
Absolutely my point. We’re really at the same point the steam engine was invented. So what we have are some fairly simple machines that can talk to each other when directed by humans. Seth Godin did an interesting blog entry on web 4 here:

So imagine what web 10 or web 20 looks like.
